Letters of Thanks

Mr. Pressley,

I would like to thank you for the opportunity to go on a field trip with you. The experience was extremely informative. As a result of the field trip, I am knowledgeable in how to determine defects that could be either unsafe, cause costly repairs or both. As an eight year Claims Adjuster in the insurance industry, in which I have experience in inspecting residential properties I still had a little anxiety about embarking on the new venture. The field trip with you relieved me of those anxieties.

Good morning Mr. Pressley,

Thank you for your willingness to always help! I love learning from your home inspection instruction zoom calls through InterNACHI. A lot of people have the knowledge, but they do not take the time to teach the younger generation. You have the knowledge and are always looking for ways to help.

WHO IS THIS TRAINING FOR?

This hands-on training is for home inspectors who are just starting out or inspectors who have not gotten enough experience inspecting properties and writing reports. It is for inspectors who want to get real-time experience and a good idea of what to inspect, how to do a thorough inspection, what to look for in a real scenario at a real home inspection, and how to have good customer relations. They will learn what skills are needed after the classes are over and they’re launching their inspection service.

Paris gets many calls each month from newly graduating home inspectors asking if he can let them shadow him during a home inspection, have a ride-along to see how to inspect a home, or assist him during a home inspection. Paris also gets calls with questions from home inspectors who have completed a home inspection course asking how they can enter the inspection industry.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE TRAINING?

This inspector training will provide guidelines and step-by-step instructions in the field on how to do a thorough home inspection. Paris shows the new inspector how to collect site information, organize this field information, and create an inspection report that provides the client with a set of documents that help them understand the conditions of the property they are buying.

Paris can provide instructions, including guidance for inspectors who want to extend their experience and training after home inspection school. He also provides insight and techniques on how to inspect a home, how to choose the inspection report software or program that fits the inspector, how to inspect a residential building or property properly, and how to become a successful home inspector.

Cost for the Field Trip

The instruction fee for a monitored and supervised actual home inspection can vary based on the level of training and need-to-know by each novice inspector. However, the average fee is $100.00 for each new attendee and $70.00 for each additional field trip inspection requested. Questions on reporting, how to photograph conditions found, and techniques for data collection will be discussed at each home inspection. Please check with Paris with additional questions via email: info@ppinspect.com

WHAT HAPPENS ON THE FIELD TRIP?

The attendees will actually be doing a real inspection and inspecting a real home during the field trip and are expected to create an inspection report that can be used as a credit towards the number of reports needed as a member of an association.

Novice inspectors are coached along during the field trip to help them get a feel for the challenges and sharpen skills needed to do a thorough home inspection. Attendees can ask questions along the way when allowed. Paris can have a one-on-one field trip inspection or group field trips.

RIDE ALONG, SHADOW, FIELD TRIPS

Paris provides home inspection field trips, ride along and inspector shadowing using Zoom meetings. The fee is $25.00 per meeting. Simply send a email to: info@ppinspect.com or call 404-617-4973 to schedule.

New inspectors and inspectors in training get to have a virtual experience of the home inspection process from start to finish. Paris walks the inspector through the inspection process explaining the steps to take when inspecting homes by using photographs and illustrations while discussing what to look for, how to take notes and prepare the notes to write the report. Zoom inspection meetings are scheduled on a regular basis.

Field trips are scheduled two to three times a month.
New inspectors are advised to schedule in advance or request a field trip date. Please call Paris Pressley at 404-617-4973.
